Registered Nurse – Medical Oncology (Weekend Option, Full-Time, A-Shift)

About the role

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in the Medical Oncology unit, working a weekend option on a full‑time A‑shift schedule. This role involves delivering safe, high‑quality nursing care while supporting patients and families through treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Follow hospital policies for patient safety, infection prevention, and safe handling.
• Maintain and care for central lines and prevent surgical site infections.
• Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and provide patient/family education.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments and document care activities.
• Communicate patient information to physicians and team members to improve outcomes.
• Delegate tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current RN license in Missouri or Compact licensure (graduates must obtain licensure within 90 days).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.
