Registered Nurse – Intensive Care/Stepdown (Night Shift)

About the role

This full‑time night‑shift position leads patient care on the Intensive Care/Stepdown unit at the Chabert Campus. The RN uses the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code and Scope & Standards, delegates to team members, and ensures quality outcomes while respecting cultural diversity.

Key responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process to deliver patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies for patients and families.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources.
• Uses data and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
• Adapts behavior to meet the specific needs of diverse patient populations.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred).
• Current RN license in the state of practice (required).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
• Certification in a clinical specialty area (preferred).
• Proficiency with computers, software and web‑based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
