Registered Nurse Float Pool – Full-Time, P‑Shift, Sign‑On Bonus

About the role

Phelps Health Hospital is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join its Float Pool on a P‑Shift schedule. The RN will provide direct patient care across multiple units, ensuring safety and quality while supporting the hospital’s mission of top‑tier care.

Key responsibilities

• Follow hospital policies for patient safety, infection prevention, safe handling, and critical lab notifications.
• Maintain central lines, prevent surgical site infections, and administer medications.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, document care activities, and communicate findings to physicians and the care team.
• Educate patients and families, delegate tasks appropriately, and foster teamwork.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Missouri (or Compact licensure) – graduates must obtain licensure within 90 days.
• One year of nursing experience preferred; new graduate nurses are considered.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid RN licensure for the State of Missouri.
