Registered Nurse – Float Nursing (Night Shift)

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for Float Nursing on the night shift at Lehigh Valley Hospital‑Pocono. The RN will provide professional nursing care, assess patient needs, and coordinate care across units.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Utilize evidence‑based practice, participate in quality and safety initiatives, and contribute to performance improvement processes.
• Provide patient and family education, ensure safe transitions of care, and perform validated technical skills specific to the unit.
• Mentor new colleagues and interns, delegate tasks appropriately, and support unit and hospital goals.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments, complete orientation programs, and maintain unit‑specific competencies.
• Basic computer skills and successful completion of BLS (Basic Life Support) certification upon hire.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association certification.
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation and technology use.
