About the role
The Registered Nurse will provide professional nursing care on a float basis across Lehigh Valley Health Network facilities, primarily during night shifts. This position supports patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with hospital policies.
Key responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
- Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course and ensure safe transitions of care.
- Participate in performance improvement processes and evidence‑based practice initiatives.
Required profile
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
- Ability to organize and prioritize assignments, lift/transfer patients, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Successful completion of unit‑specific orientation and competency assessments.
Required skills
- Basic computer skills.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (required upon hire).
