About the role
The Radiation Oncology Supervisor leads a team of radiation therapists, ensuring safe and effective delivery of radiation treatments while supporting patient care and departmental operations.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise staff performance, including coaching, counseling, discipline, and performance evaluations.
- Administer radiation treatments, build treatment calendars, obtain patient histories, and answer patient questions.
- Collaborate with physicians, ancillary personnel, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
- Monitor radiation equipment inventory, enforce safety regulations, and ensure compliance with hospital and governmental policies.
Required profile
- Specialized Diploma in radiation therapy and ARRT certification.
- Minimum 4 years of radiation therapy experience with strong leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
- Physical ability to lift/carry 40‑50 lb, stand/walk for long periods, and perform patient transfers.
Required skills
- Radiation therapy treatment planning and delivery.
- Operation of radiation equipment and safety monitoring.
- Contrast administration under Radiation Oncologist direction.
- CT‑simulation procedures.
