Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

About the role

As an RN in the Emergency Department at Marymount Hospital, you will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient care journey, interacting directly with patients and families, providing education and enhancing their experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• One year of acute care RN or Emergency Department experience (military RN considered).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications upon hire or within one year.
• Completion of Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) upon hire or within one year.
