About the role

Phelps Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department on a full‑time, P‑shift schedule. The role offers a $5,000 sign‑on bonus and the chance to provide life‑saving care in a 2,000‑employee hospital serving small‑town Missouri.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care following hospital policies on infection prevention, safe handling, and critical lab notification.
• Maintain and care for central lines, prevent surgical site infections, administer medications, and provide patient/family education.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments, document care activities, and communicate patient information to physicians and the care team.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Missouri (or Compact) – graduates must obtain licensure within 90 days.
• One year of nursing experience preferred; new graduates accepted.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• RN licensure and ability to maintain state requirements.
• Competence in central line care and infection control practices.
