Registered Nurse – Complex Medicine Unit

About the role

The 5th Floor Complex Medicine Unit at Marymount Hospital is a newly reopened 12‑bed telemetry unit caring for adult medical‑surgical patients with multiple comorbidities. This role offers a dynamic environment to sharpen assessment skills, develop clinical judgment, and contribute to a growing team focused on patient‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients.
• Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Evaluate, update, and revise plans of care to achieve expected outcomes.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders accurately.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and families using culturally appropriate materials.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing protocols.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• At least one year of acute‑care RN experience in a hospital setting.
• Military RN experience will be considered.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
