Registered Nurse – Cardiac ICU (Night Shift)

About the role

The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital provides 24/7 monitoring for patients with serious heart conditions. This full‑time night‑shift RN position supports a fast‑paced 14‑bed ICU, working closely with cardiology and invasive cardiology teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, administer medications and treatments, and execute physician and nursing orders.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions, including participation in Code Crimson, rapid response, and Code Blue events.
• Assist with moderate sedation procedures such as transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and cardioversions.
• Educate patients and families and coordinate discharge planning.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure and at least one year of acute care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for critical care areas.
