Registered Nurse – Cardiac ICU

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital’s Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, a fast‑paced 14‑bed ICU providing 24/7 monitoring for patients with heart disease, chest pain, heart attacks, and life‑threatening arrhythmias.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current RN licensure in the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required within first year if not already held).
• At least one year of acute care RN experience or licensed military RN experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Experience with transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) procedures.
• Ability to assist with cardioversion procedures.
