Registered EEG Technician – Evening Shift

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is seeking a Registered EEG Technician to perform routine electroencephalographic examinations during evening shifts. This position offers the chance to work alongside expert caregivers and contribute to patient‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Select predetermined electrode combinations, operate video recording equipment, and ensure proper alignment of EEG and audio recordings.
• Perform electroencephalographic examinations, schedule special procedure tests, and maintain equipment in clean, operating condition.
• Serve as an instructor for new personnel, providing training on EEG interpretation and technology.
• Assist with patient positioning, transport, and adhere to standard precautions using personal protective equipment.

Required profile

• Completion of an accredited EEG program or an Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics or related field.
• Registration as an EEG Technician (R.EEG.T) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of experience as an EEG Technician.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 75 lb and meet corrected hearing and vision standards.
