Registered Dietitian – Clinical Nutrition

About the role

The Registered Dietitian provides individualized medical nutrition therapy, education, and counseling to patients at Marymount Hospital, an acute‑care, faith‑based facility serving the Garfield Heights and Southeast Cuyahoga County communities. Working days from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, the role includes occasional weekend/holiday rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement personalized nutrition care plans based on medical history, lab results, and patient goals.
• Document nutrition assessments, write diet order changes, and monitor fluid, electrolyte, and nutrient intake.
• Communicate nutrition status and recommendations to physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Create and update patient education materials and participate in program development.
• Serve as a preceptor for dietetic interns and teach classes as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Dietitian (LD) and active Registered Dietitian (RD) certification.
• At least one year of clinical nutrition experience or successful completion of the CCF Dietetic Internship Program.
• Physical ability to navigate the hospital, measure and weigh patients, and use standard PPE.
