Regional Sales Manager

About the role

Avis Budget Group is looking for a Regional Sales Manager who leads, manages and develops an assigned territory within a region to achieve operational success and financial profitability. The role covers all operational activities in the region, sets short-term strategies and solutions, and works in line with established procedures and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and communicate sales operating plans that maximize revenue and grow market share, and set monthly goals for each location's key performance measures
• Monitor performance against plans and revise plans, procedures and standards as needed
• Develop and run sales and marketing strategies, and work with headquarters, Sales and Marketing to define sales policy, long-range objectives and local marketing plans
• Oversee the start-up of operations in new locations, including infrastructure and staffing, and review capital projects for future growth
• Maintain and develop existing and new customers, build referral relationships and partner with management and Supply Chain on fleet matters
• Hire, supervise, train, develop and evaluate staff, applying HR policies consistently and fairly
• Manage relationships with local business organizations and moderate travel is required

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Economics or Management
• 10 years of operational management experience
• Experience with fleet administration, accounting and rent-a-car operations
• Knowledge of Avis and Budget brands, fleet planning and administration, and awareness of business trends
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
