Regional Merchant Lead (Outside Sales)

About the role

The Outside Sales team owns the relationship with local and regional restaurant partners. As a Regional Merchant Lead (Outside Sales Representative), you will own the full sales cycle for bringing new restaurant partners onto DoorDash. It is a fast-paced, transactional field sales role based in the cities listed, with 50%+ of your time in the field (typically 2-3 days per week) and the option to work remotely or from a DoorDash office.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, pitch, negotiate and close deals with local and regional merchants across your assigned market.
• Meet restaurant owners in person, introduce them to DoorDash's offerings and sell multi-product solutions.
• Negotiate revenue share agreements and help merchants understand how partnering with DoorDash will grow their business.
• Share on-the-ground insights with sales leadership and the operations team.
• Mentor teammates on how to succeed in the role.
• Travel within the region for training, offsites, team-building events and other business needs.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in a closing sales role, preferably in an outside sales or field-forward environment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced transaction sales cycle, typically closing deals within days.
• History of exceeding KPIs and sales targets through disciplined activity and strong execution.
• Experience selling multi-product solutions and tailoring the pitch to each merchant.
• Creative, resourceful outreach tactics and a merchant-first approach.
• Must live in or near the listed cities.

• Base salary of $25.38-$42.60 USD, with sales commission on top (total on-target earnings $48.30-$71 USD).
