Regional Director of Maintenance

About the role

AVIR Health Group is seeking a Regional Director of Maintenance to lead the maintenance operations for its facilities in Regions 4 and 6 across Texas. This senior leader will ensure safe, compliant, and efficient environments for skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and long‑term care services.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day maintenance activities and supervise the maintenance team across multiple sites.
• Ensure compliance with Life Safety Code, NFPA standards, OSHA regulations, emergency preparedness plans, and accessibility requirements.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs using the TELS Building Management system.
• Coordinate with Operations and regional leadership on budget, staffing, and capital projects.
• Develop and enforce safety policies, conduct audits, and lead incident investigations.
• Maintain documentation, reporting, and regulatory filings related to facility maintenance.

Required profile

• 3–5 years progressive leadership experience as a Maintenance Director or Regional Director in healthcare facilities.
• Working knowledge of Life Safety Code, Emergency Preparedness, NFPA, OSHA, and accessibility standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Familiarity with TELS Building Management system.
• Strong organizational, self‑motivation, multitasking and prioritization abilities.
• Specialized trade licenses (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing) are a plus but not required.
