Journeyman – Roofing Installation & Maintenance

About the role

The Journeyman will install and maintain low‑sloped roof systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and company safety standards while supporting the foreman and crew.

Key responsibilities

• Install and maintain low‑sloped roof systems (TPO, PVC, BUR, modified bitumen, EPDM).
• Operate tools and equipment such as a Leister welder and hot‑air gun.
• Follow job specifications, warranties, safety guidelines and quality standards.
• Create client reports using a tablet and handle communication and receipts electronically.
• Support the foreman with crew communication, training and direction.

Required profile

• Prior roofing or related trade experience (preferred but not required).
• Professional and effective communication abilities.
• Proficiency with handheld technology such as tablets or smartphones.

Required skills

• Leister welder operation.
• Hot‑air gun operation.
• Tablet and smartphone usage for reporting.
• Installation of TPO, PVC, BUR, modified bitumen and EPDM roofing systems.
