Regional Business Development Manager

About the role

Sedgwick is hiring a Regional Business Development Manager, working remotely from the United States. The role develops relationships and identifies business development opportunities through industry engagement, networking and market intelligence, evaluates prospects against organizational capabilities and supports client engagement and territory growth.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade shows, association meetings and networking events, and increase company visibility in targeted sectors
• Analyze organizational priorities and market opportunities, then qualify prospects against business development criteria and recommend next steps
• Hold discovery conversations with prospective clients, analyze findings and advance opportunities
• Support territory growth through lead generation and relationship building, and manage business development activity data
• Follow up on contacts from events and associations, build relationships with prospective clients and share market and competitive intelligence gathered from events and networks

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, public relations or a related field preferred
• Two years of experience in business development, sales support, account management, client engagement, customer success or a similar role
• Ability to engage professionally with executives, clients and industry leaders

Required skills

• Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales engagement tools; experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, HubSpot or LinkedIn Sales Navigator preferred
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication, and strong organizational and time-management skills

What we offer

• Starting pay range of $100,000 - $110,000 for the jurisdiction listed
