Quality Inspector III

About the role

The Quality Inspector III is a senior-level position responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying materials, processes, and finished products to ensure compliance with established standards, contract requirements, and internal quality procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in‑process, and final inspections on parts, assemblies, and materials, documenting results and maintaining quality records.
• Identify nonconforming material, initiate NCRs, and support corrective action processes while collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams.
• Lead safety training initiatives, ensure adherence to DoD contractor policies, and maintain security clearance requirements.
• Mentor junior technicians and lead cross‑functional teams to resolve technical challenges in a defense‑focused environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical coursework or certifications.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality control, or inspection roles.
• Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols, quality standards, and DoD contractor requirements.

Required skills

• Experience with ISO‑based and/or AS‑based quality systems.
• Familiarity with nonconformance reporting and corrective action processes.
• Machining, welding, estimating, and drafting knowledge.
