QC Laboratory Technician

About the role

Join BASF's Nutrition & Health team in Bishop, TX as a QC Laboratory Technician. You will perform timely analysis of raw materials, in‑process streams and finished products to ensure they meet specifications and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct analytical testing using GC, HPLC, ICP‑OES, and laser diffraction.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, perform calibrations and basic maintenance.
• Document results in compliance with cGMP, FDA and ISO requirements.
• Prepare solutions, standards and perform general housekeeping tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a science field (preferred) or associate degree with 6 months lab experience, or high school diploma with 2 years chemical lab experience.
• Attention to detail, flexibility for rotating 10‑hour shifts, including holidays and overtime.
• Problem‑solving ability and capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Required skills

• Gas chromatography (GC) and liquid chromatography (HPLC).
• Inductively‑coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP‑OES).
• Laser diffraction particle size analysis.
• Knowledge of cGMP, FDA and ISO laboratory standards.
