QC Laboratory Instrument Technician

About the role

Join BASF's Nutrition & Health team in Bishop, TX as a QC Laboratory Instrument Technician, responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting analytical instruments in a cGMP environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory instrumentation such as gas chromatographs, HPLC systems, ICP‑OES, Laser Diffraction, and FTIR.
• Perform preventive maintenance and support instrument qualifications, upgrades, and new equipment installations.
• Maintain calibration records in compliance with quality requirements and partner with lab staff and service providers to resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in Instrumentation, Chemistry or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
• 3+ years experience with analytical laboratory instrumentation (5+ years preferred).
• Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team and strong problem‑solving skills.
