MCAD Drafting Services & Product Definition Co‑Op (Hybrid)

About the role

This six‑month co‑op (January‑June 2027) offers hands‑on experience in MCAD drafting and product definition at RTX’s Aguadilla, Puerto Rico site. You will work alongside engineers to support design releases, documentation, and validation activities while learning aerospace manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform design database and documentation checks for new releases or revisions.
• Apply manufacturing, tolerancing, and producibility knowledge to ensure cost‑effective designs.
• Assist engineering in selecting specifications for materials, finishes, processes, and mechanical components.
• Prepare technical documentation for hardware design release and enter data into the documentation control system.
• Support CAD tool testing and debugging as vendors release updates.
• Validate change definition artifacts and revision capture for existing designs.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen or U.S. person (required for program access).
• High school diploma or equivalent; currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Residing in Puerto Rico at start date; relocation not provided.
• Fluent in English (read, write, speak) for communication with customers and team members.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of GD&T principles.
• Familiarity with ASME standards.
• Knowledge of PDM systems such as Teamcenter or ENOVIA.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling software (NX or SolidWorks preferred).
