Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer will independently design, develop, and test mechanical and aerospace systems for DoD and industrial applications, leveraging advanced manufacturing techniques and cutting‑edge design tools.

Key responsibilities

• Create complex CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings using Creo, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD while ensuring GD&T compliance.
• Perform advanced calculations, material selection, tolerance stack‑ups, and stress analysis to support design activities.
• Lead prototype manufacturing efforts, coordinate with shop technicians and external vendors, and develop testing procedures to validate designs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage project schedules, estimate costs, and track progress.
• Ensure designs comply with DoD standards, safety regulations, and implement quality‑assurance practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Systems, or Materials Engineering.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and communicate technical findings effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software: Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD.
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis tools: ANSYS, ABAQUS.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack‑ups, and manufacturing processes.
