Psychiatric Registered Nurse (0.9 FTE, Part‑Shift)

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct psychiatric patient care on a 0.9 full‑time, part‑shift schedule at Phelps Health Hospital. The role involves delivering safe, high‑quality nursing services while adhering to hospital policies and the ANA Code of Ethics.

Key responsibilities

• Follow hospital policies for patient safety, infection prevention, safe handling, and critical lab notifications.
• Maintain and care for central lines and prevent surgical site infections.
• Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and provide patient and family education.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments and document all care activities.
• Communicate patient information to physicians and team members to improve outcomes.
• Delegate tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current RN license in Missouri or Compact licensure (graduates must obtain licensure within 90 days).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.
