Project Coordinator

About the role

Puget Sound Energy's Customer & System Projects team is hiring a Project Coordinator for its Bremerton, WA location. The coordinator works under one or more project managers and ensures project goals are met within agreed time, scope and resources, covering coordination, status reporting, financials and schedules. Work arrangements are discussed in detail during the interview.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oversight and direction to team members under the project manager.
• Facilitate communication between the project manager, service providers and internal customers, including technical support.
• Review and coordinate project documentation, technical memoranda, design plans and specifications, and manage project tasks as directed.
• Field customer concerns and work with the right parties to resolve them.
• Support project managers and senior project managers in delivering technical assistance to internal and external customers.
• Track milestones and deliverables and report on project and program progress.
• Support emergency response work as requested and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate's degree or better in engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least two years of relevant work experience.
• Basic knowledge of cost estimating and scheduling concepts.
• Knowledge of utility methods used in budgeting, procurement and contract administration.
• Ability to work independently, influence others and resolve issues, with a customer-oriented, team-oriented attitude.

Desired qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management or a related field.
• Experience managing non-complex projects or programs, and project management training.
• Advanced project management training and certification from an accredited body such as PMI.
