Member Services Representative

About the role

The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth is looking for a Member Services Representative who will be the first point of contact for current and prospective members. The role provides excellent customer service, assists with membership inquiries and supports administrative tasks to ensure a positive member experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet members, guests and visitors in a friendly and professional way.
• Provide information about YMCA programs, services and membership options, and promote membership benefits to prospective members.
• Assist members with inquiries, registration and issue resolution; conduct membership tours and orientation sessions.
• Assist with membership sales and renewals, and process applications, cancellations and changes.
• Handle cash transactions such as membership fees and program payments.
• Maintain accurate records of members in the database.
• Keep the front desk clean and organized, monitor access to the facility and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Work with other staff, take part in team meetings and help with special events and community outreach.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 16 years.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certification preferred, or willingness to obtain it within the first 30 days of employment.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in a community-focused organization or membership-based facility preferred.

Required skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations professionally.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with member management software.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
