Production Operator - Nutrition & Health

About the role

BASF Nutrition and Health develops, produces and markets ingredients and solutions for the nutrition and health industries, covering Human Nutrition, Animal Nutrition, Aroma Ingredients, Pharma Solutions and Enzymes. The Production Operator works in the Nutrition & Health team in Bishop, TX, on processes that use both batch and continuous operations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safety, environmental, team and individual performance standards are met in a high-performance team
• Carry out the work permitting process and prepare equipment for daily maintenance
• Train new employees on unit activities
• Operate the DCS, issue permits, sample, troubleshoot, prepare equipment for maintenance and inspections, and take part in emergency response teams

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED
• Preferrably 3 years of operations experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
• Valid driver's license
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
• Results oriented, dependable, safety conscious and able to work in a team
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Required skills

• Preferrably Honeywell TDC 3000, DCS operational and work permit writing experience
