Product Portfolio Analyst, X-BAT Family of Systems (FoS)

About the role

Shield AI, a venture-backed defense-tech company, is looking for a Product Portfolio Analyst for its X-BAT Family of Systems (FoS) Capture organization. As a core member of the X-BAT FoS Product team, you will partner with the X-BAT FoS Product Organization to maintain a high-confidence view of the current and future opportunity pipeline, turn pipeline data into actionable insights, and own the integrity and quality of pipeline information in Salesforce and related reporting tools.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an integrated view of the X-BAT FoS opportunity pipeline across near-term, mid-term and long-range pursuits, analyzing opportunities by timing, estimated value, probability of win, market attractiveness, strategic relevance, expected revenue and resourcing needs.
• Track changes in opportunity value, timing, stage progression, probability of win and customer funding, and identify gaps, timing shortfalls, concentration risks and single-point dependencies.
• Recommend actions to build pipeline resilience, such as alternate pursuits, adjacent customers, related mission areas, acquisition pathways and partner opportunities.
• Serve as the lead for pipeline-data integrity and reporting standards, setting expectations for opportunity stages, data fields, forecast assumptions, probability assessments and update cadence.
• Review Salesforce opportunity records for accuracy and completeness, and build dashboards and trackers that show portfolio health, capture status, forecast changes and key risks.
• Partner with Finance to link opportunity data, bookings assumptions, revenue forecasts and customer funding to long-range financial plans, and support scenario analysis of delays, funding changes and competitive losses.
• Identify risks such as schedule uncertainty, customer-funding risk and overreliance on a few pursuits, and develop mitigation recommendations and contingency plans.
• Maintain pipeline assumptions, opportunity histories, risk registers and lessons learned, and support recurring pipeline reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in business development, capture, sales operations, program management, finance, consulting or another analytical operating environment.
• Experience evaluating opportunities by timing, value, probability, customer funding, strategic relevance and expected business impact.
• Experience leading cross-functional deliverables and decision points across multiple concurrent efforts.
• U.S. citizenship required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Required skills

• Experience using Salesforce to analyze opportunity data, maintain pipeline visibility, build reports or dashboards and support business-planning decisions.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including trackers, dashboards and briefing materials.
• Ability to manage data quality, set reporting standards and coordinate updates across stakeholders.

Preferred: experience with U.S. Government capture, defense business development or government-contracting pipelines; familiarity with DoD acquisition processes; experience with Salesforce reporting, dashboards, data governance or workflow automation; experience with defense pursuits such as FMS or DCS.
