Product Manager - Roadmap Track (Sunshine Island)
New Moon Production
Job description
About the role
New Moon Production is looking for a Product Manager for the Roadmap Track of Sunshine Island, a flagship casual farming mobile game. The role owns the long-term features, core game loops and retention systems that keep the game growing. It sits in a remote-first studio, in a close PM/PJM pair where the Project Manager handles day-to-day agile mechanics and scheduling, so you can focus on product direction and new mechanics.
Key responsibilities
- Own the Roadmap Track backlog and quarterly plan, keeping existing features and systems healthy while sequencing larger releases that move KPIs.
- Stay close to the market, analyse games in the genre and propose new mechanics; game designers own the detailed feature design.
- Own first-session and early-game retention (FTUE, unlock pacing, onboarding) and the path from new player to veteran, working with analysts on cohorts and A/B tests.
- Shape progression and content cadence with economy designers, so players always find new things to do.
- Own the roadmap KPIs: D7 and early retention, veteran DAU and ARPDAU, and progression speed, defining success metrics up front.
- Partner with the track PJM on sprint scoping and release scheduling, and drive multi-phase features from goal to release.
- Report to the Director of LiveOps and work daily with the game's Product Owner.
Required profile
- 4-6 years as a Product Manager or Game PM in mobile F2P gaming (casual, farming, simulation or city-builder experience preferred).
- Proven experience running a live game and thinking in roadmaps, prioritising and sequencing large features.
- Strong pulse on what works in the genre and comfort with retention and monetisation metrics (D7, ARPDAU, LTV, churn).
- Understanding of progression, onboarding and long-term retention systems.
- Skilled at aligning Art, Tech, Design and Analytics teams through clear commercial reasoning.
- Organised, calm under live operational pressure, used to working alongside PJMs in SCRUM/Kanban.
- Located within +/- 3 hours of CEST for real-time collaboration.
Required skills
- Comfortable using AI tools in daily work, or keen to learn them.
- SCRUM/Kanban frameworks.
What we offer
- Direct ownership of the product direction and long-term growth of a high-scale mobile title generating millions in revenue.
- A complete feature team and a dedicated PJM handling operational overhead.
- A mature, remote-first studio culture valuing autonomy and data-driven decisions.
- Competitive compensation, personal development budget and flexible working conditions.
