About the role
The Secretary of State's office in Louisiana seeks a detail‑oriented Procurement Analyst to support its mission of safeguarding public information, ensuring election integrity, and maintaining essential government records. This position will manage vendor relationships, oversee strategic sourcing, and guarantee compliance with state acquisition regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a complex system of contracts and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Develop detailed specifications, prepare bids, and award contracts.
- Conduct vendor solicitation, evaluate bids for price, delivery, terms, and conditions.
- Correspond with vendors and internal agency staff to resolve issues.
- Coordinate and standardize equipment and supply purchases.
- Collaborate with agency administrators and other personnel on procurement activities.
Required profile
- Three years of experience in procurement, contracts, grants management, financial management, accounting, or auditing; OR six years of full‑time work experience in any field; OR a bachelor’s degree.
- Competencies: Accepting Direction, Building and Supporting Teams, Demonstrating Accountability.
- Experience substitution: 30 semester hours = one year of experience, up to 120 semester hours.
