Senior Assurance Auditor

About the role

The Senior Assurance Auditor will lead day‑to‑day audit engagements, overseeing planning, fieldwork, and wrap‑up activities. You will act as the primary client contact for routine inquiries and ensure the preparation of financial statements with appropriate disclosures in accordance with GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate audit engagements, managing timelines, budgets, and firm policies.
• Document, validate, and assess internal control systems and recommend improvements.
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and disclosure requirements.
• Review client SEC filings for accuracy and completeness.
• Plan and execute Section 404 internal control audits, designing test plans and evaluating deficiencies.
• Supervise audit staff, review workpapers, and provide feedback on findings.
• Identify complex accounting issues and communicate them to senior management and partners.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in audit and assurance engagements, preferably in a senior “in‑charge” role.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, SEC regulations, PCAOB guidelines, and GAAS.
• Ability to communicate technical accounting concepts clearly to clients and internal teams.
• Proven capability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
