Full-Time Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will support the Accounting Manager and Controller in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth operation of the Accounting Department at Woman’s Hospital. This full‑time position involves handling month‑end close, preparing reports and assisting on various projects.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile and maintain assigned assets and liabilities on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies discovered during account reconciliations.
• Support the General Ledger team on special projects and assist the Treasury Management Specialist as needed.
• Verify that all journal entries are posted correctly before financial statements are finalized.
• Research, interpret and analyze financial and statistical data for management.
• Prepare audit schedules and produce management reports using the reporting application.
• Maintain spreadsheet models and ensure data integrity.
• Participate in ongoing education to stay current with industry trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in an accounting role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using accounting and financial reporting software.
