PRN RN – Stepdown Unit

About the role

The Stepdown Unit bridges the ICU and general medical/surgical floors at Union Hospital. As a PRN Registered Nurse you will provide direct patient care, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and support patients and families throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and follow physician and nursing orders.
• Assess discharge needs and facilitate patient transitions.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS required for critical‑care areas.
• Two years of recent nursing experience (external candidates).

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (if working in critical care).
