About the role
The Certified Athletic Trainer (PRN) provides injury assessment, rehabilitation, and prevention for professional, amateur and recreational athletes at Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio. This part‑time, rotational position works under physician supervision and may include nights and weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare athletes for practice or competition and develop conditioning programs.
- Evaluate injuries, implement treatment plans, and maintain medical records for each athlete.
- Act as liaison between physicians and athletes, providing health‑maintenance reviews and post‑visit instructions.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree and completion of an accredited Athletic Training Program.
- Current Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- State licensure as an Athletic Trainer if required by law.
