About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio, as a Clinical Speech Pathologist providing outpatient evaluation and treatment for adult and pediatric patients with communication and swallowing disorders.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic speech pathology tests and evaluate communication and swallowing function.
  • Interpret and report test results to support medical diagnosis.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans, select assistive devices, and conduct re‑evaluations.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients, families, and referral sources.
  • Maintain records, equipment, and assist with planning, budgeting, and service development.

Required profile

  • Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology.
  • Current state Speech‑Language Pathology license.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP).
  • Completion of a nine‑month clinical fellowship.

Required skills

  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform manual dexterity tasks.
  • Use of personal protective equipment and adherence to standard precautions.
