Job description
About the role
The Principal, HR Innovation & Transformation drives the People Function's transformation agenda, turning strategy and evolving priorities into structured programs. Working closely with the Head of HR Innovation & Transformation, the role covers the HR operating model, workforce planning, HR technology and AI enablement. It is based in New York.
Key responsibilities
- Translate the transformation strategy into a sequenced agenda and build the prioritization frameworks and recommendations that guide where the function invests its time.
- Own the architecture and discipline of the transformation portfolio: frameworks, standards and decision criteria, and an integrated view of status, dependencies, risks and value realization.
- Build the investment case for technology and AI, developing ROI perspectives and market scans to inform funding and build-vs-buy decisions, in partnership with Tech, Finance and enterprise stakeholders.
- Develop the governance and enablement approach for AI across the People Function, including standards, fluency frameworks and operating principles.
- Build credibility and alignment with People Function leadership and enterprise stakeholders, surfacing trade-offs and presenting the agenda in working- and leadership-level forums.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; an MBA or similar is a plus.
- At least 8 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, transformation, program leadership or HR/people advisory, including leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs end to end, ideally with operating model, organization design or workforce strategy exposure.
- Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems from a hypothesis-driven approach and drive to a defensible recommendation.
- Strong commercial and analytical judgment, with the ability to build business cases and investment perspectives.
- Exceptional executive communication and advanced PowerPoint skills.
- High autonomy and ownership, with the judgment to act independently and know when to escalate.
- Exposure to HR functions and technology-enabled change (AI, data, digital), or a clear track record of getting up to speed quickly in an unfamiliar domain.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel and data analysis
- Executive presentation skills (PowerPoint)
- Business case building and investment analysis
What we offer
- Base salary range of $175,500 to $263,900, depending on experience, skills, location and other factors; possible performance-based incentives.
- Health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401K and other retirement programs, and employee assistance programs.
- Professional development opportunities and a hybrid work arrangement, with at least three days per week in the office.
