Human Resources Manager

About the role

Carepod, a premium home wellness brand originally designed in Korea, is growing across the U.S. and internationally and is looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead its HR function. The role combines hands-on HR management with strategic business planning, partnering directly with leadership to improve organizational effectiveness, strengthen management practices and support company growth.

Key responsibilities

• Employee lifecycle: onboarding, off-boarding, documentation, PTO and benefits administration, and HR policies and handbooks
• Performance management: quarterly reviews, coaching managers, leadership development and career paths
• Engagement: check-ins, retention efforts, internal communications via Notion and Slack, and culture-building initiatives
• Compensation: annual reviews, salary benchmarking, structures, equity assessments and benefits administration
• People strategy: workforce planning, organizational structure advice, monthly HQ reports and meeting structures
• Recruitment: overseeing the full hiring function, guiding 1-2 internal recruiters, managing agencies and improving recruitment processes
• Cross-functional projects: leading strategic initiatives, identifying operational gaps and evaluating results

Required profile

• 4+ years of progressive HR experience, including HRBP, People Partner or HR Manager roles
• Experience owning strategic HR initiatives in a growing or fast-moving organization
• Employee relations and manager coaching experience
• Experience with performance management, compensation, career development and organizational design
• Ability to work with distributed, remote or international teams and handle confidential matters

Required skills

• Strong judgment and communication skills, comfortable partnering with senior leadership
• Ability to balance strategy and HR operations and build structure without unnecessary bureaucracy
