Presales Consultant – Data, APIs & Analytics

About the role

The Presales Consultant will support strategic sales opportunities by understanding client needs and demonstrating how ISI data can support their workflows. This client‑facing role works closely with Sales, Product, Data, Technology and Delivery teams across the Americas.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery meetings and workshops to capture client business challenges, data requirements and intended outcomes.
• Translate client needs into clear, practical solution requirements and design solutions using ISI datasets, platforms, APIs, data feeds and file‑delivery methods.
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations, presentations and proof‑of‑concept exercises.
• Prepare handover documentation for Data Delivery Managers and support implementation discussions as needed.
• Identify recurring client requirements and communicate structured feedback to Product and Data teams.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in pre‑sales, solutions consulting, data consulting or a related client‑facing role.
• Strong consultative‑selling and discovery skills with the ability to translate requirements into practical data solutions.
• Experience supporting asset managers, banks, research teams or similar institutional clients.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of APIs, Python, R, data feeds, SFTP and file‑based delivery.
• Familiarity with data‑integration concepts and API‑based or AI‑assisted data workflows.
