About the role

The Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in the Pre‑Op and Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit, ensuring safety and quality for surgical patients. This part‑time position (0.6 FTE) works Monday‑Friday with on‑call responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

Follow hospital policies for patient safety, infection prevention, and safe handling.
Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and provide patient and family education.
Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments and document care accurately.
Communicate pertinent information to physicians, team members, patients, and families.
Delegate tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability.

Required profile

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; graduate from an accredited nursing program required.
Current RN license in Missouri or a Compact State.
One year of healthcare experience preferred.

Required skills

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
