Pre and Lower School French World Language Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Pre and Lower School French World Language Teacher to join our early‑learning team. The successful candidate will create a dynamic, supportive classroom environment that fosters language acquisition and overall academic growth for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver French instruction aligned with the school’s curriculum and world‑language standards.
• Differentiate lessons for mixed‑ability groups and adjust instruction based on ongoing assessment.
• Collect, analyze, and report student data to inform instructional decisions.
• Collaborate with the world‑language team and administrators to develop and refine program components.
• Prepare lesson materials, substitute plans, and both formative and summative assessments.
• Provide regular feedback to students and parents, and maintain clear communication about progress.
• Participate in additional tasks as assigned by preschool and lower‑school leadership.

Required profile

• Strong content knowledge in French and elementary education, with familiarity with best teaching practices.
• Ability to interpret data to improve student learning outcomes.
• Effective classroom management skills and experience working with a diverse student body.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational abilities, and professional maturity.
• Comfortable using classroom technology and digital tools.
