About the role
The Dean of Academic Affairs (Nursing) provides strategic leadership for the BSN program, ensuring curriculum quality, regulatory compliance, and student success. This remote position guides faculty, supports academic operations, and drives outcomes such as NCLEX pass rates and graduation rates.
Key responsibilities
- Lead development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the BSN curriculum in line with university strategy and accreditation standards.
- Drive student outcomes (NCLEX pass rates, persistence, graduation, satisfaction) through data‑informed strategies.
- Oversee faculty hiring, onboarding, development, performance management, and retention.
- Participate in faculty appointment, promotion, tenure, and retention decisions.
- Manage academic operations, budgets, workload models, and instructional resources.
- Serve as liaison between the BSN program, central administration, national academic teams, clinical partners, and regulatory agencies.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in nursing (Doctoral preferred) with current RN licensure.
- 5+ years nursing education experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential issues and work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment.
Required skills
- Current, unencumbered RN licensure (or multi‑state privilege).
