Postdoctoral Fellowship in Applied Data Science

About the role

The Roux Institute at Northeastern University and the Jackson Laboratory are offering two co‑mentored postdoctoral fellowships focused on AI‑powered data analysis to advance addiction research. Fellows will work on interdisciplinary projects that integrate biological data with advanced data‑science methods.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead AI/ML models such as explainable graph neural networks for multi‑omics and microbiome data.
• Integrate knowledge‑graph‑driven data, perform AI‑powered literature reviews, and create multi‑omics analysis tools.
• Collaborate with experimental researchers, faculty, and data‑science teams across Northeastern and JAX.
• Translate findings across mouse and human datasets to identify biomarkers and therapeutic targets.

Required profile

• PhD in computer science, engineering, biomedical data science, informatics or related field.
• Strong publication record and ability to work in a fast‑paced, innovative environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
