Portfolio Management Analyst

About the role

The Portfolio Management Analyst will support Amherst's Merchant Banking unit by building financial models, preparing investor materials, and assisting with strategic analysis of the real‑estate portfolio. This full‑time position offers exposure to real‑estate finance, capital planning, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain financial models, including cash‑flow projections, DCF, IRR, and fund‑level waterfall analyses.
• Prepare presentations, pitch decks, and marketing materials for investors, senior executives, and the Board of Directors.
• Collaborate with teams across Amherst, including counterparts in India and Costa Rica, to address ad‑hoc investor requests and special projects.
• Complete monthly and quarterly investor‑relations reporting and support strategic decision‑making on portfolio composition and financing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree; MBA, CA or CFA a plus.
• 1‑3 years of experience in banking, consulting, financial services or real‑estate.
• Highly analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Intermediate‑advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Yardi, Tableau, and SQL (preferred).
• Financial modeling and valuation techniques.
