Plant Operator / CDL Driver - Water Treatment Equipment

About the role

Envirogen, a provider of water and wastewater treatment solutions, is looking for a Plant Operator/CDL Driver based around Levittown, Pennsylvania. The role covers the delivery, pick-up, operation and maintenance of mobile process and mobile filtration equipment used to treat industrial water, serving several client sites and treatment facilities in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver, install and remove equipment from internal and external customer sites.
• Load, unload and secure equipment for safe road transport.
• Complete inspection reports, logbooks and trip sheets meeting DOT and company record-keeping requirements.
• Coordinate delivery and exchange of water treatment equipment, hook up hoses and rinse equipment, and drain and disconnect hoses before shipment.
• Record operational data from process control instruments, gauges and chemical metering systems.
• Perform calculations on water chemistry, gallons processed, capacities and ion exchange resin exhaustion.
• Operate, inspect, adjust and monitor process equipment, including air, water and solids handling systems.
• Carry out process control and field testing of water and wastewater as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDL.
• At least one year of experience in industrial or domestic water treatment preferred.
• Experience with liquid or chemical process operations preferred.
• DOT layovers as required.
• Flexibility to work second-shift hours.

Required skills

• Ability to drive a forklift.
• Experience with basic hand tools.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
