Manager, Warehousing & Distribution

About the role

Ceva is looking for a Manager, Warehousing & Distribution in Kansas City, MO. The manager oversees, supports and leads commercial warehousing and distribution operations, covering Ceva and 3PL operations, receiving, storage and shipping, and inbound and outbound transportation. The role manages direct reports and supports indirect reports, and is accountable for safety, compliance, quality, service and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage warehouse operations tactically and operationally, and analyse people, physical and process capacity needs
• Assist with the annual warehousing and transportation budget and review actuals against budget monthly
• Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, DOT, IATA, OSHA and other government requirements
• Manage training programs and implement policies for receiving, put-away, inventory control, picking, packing and shipping
• Recruit, select, train and develop supervisors, and lead performance management
• Select and manage supplies and service providers, and drive improvement actions with warehousing and transport 3PLs
• Monitor transportation performance and report on quality, service and cost
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, annual physical inventory and variance reconciliation, and ensure proper storage and segregation
• Create a culture of continuous improvement, implement 5S, run daily tier meetings and use project management techniques

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
• At least 5 years of industry experience managing warehousing and transportation operations
• Experience in FDA/EPA/USDA warehouse environments and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
• Working knowledge of DOT, IATA and OSHA regulations
• Willingness to travel domestically overnight about 25% of the time and internationally about 5%

• Advanced knowledge of ERP, WMS and TMS systems
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Advanced warehousing, transportation, quality and regulatory expertise
