Local Class A CDL Driver - Warehouse

About the role

Agropur is hiring a local Class A CDL driver for its warehouse in Le Sueur, Minnesota. The driver drives and delivers product, loads and unloads trucks, and works Monday to Friday with possible overtime, coming home every night.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain load manifests and vehicle documents, keeping them balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.
• Deliver merchandise to the right location and ensure the delivery receipt is signed by the receiver.
• Prepare, stage, load and unload trucks safely and accurately, and keep trucks and trailers clean and swept.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment as needed.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections per DOT rules, keep daily truck logs, and report equipment issues to the manager or supervisor.
• Take trucks in for inspection, service and maintenance, and follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Comply with DOT hours of service and rules of the road, and follow facility safety rules and report hazards.
• Report any potential food safety issues to management immediately.

Required profile

• Class A CDL with airbrake and tanker endorsement, and a clean driving record.
• Medical examiner certification to drive a truck.
• Minimum of four years of experience driving a truck and backing a trailer, and two years operating a forklift.
• Experience backing a trailer into a dock; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Good mechanical aptitude; slip sheet unit/powerlift jack operation preferred.

Required skills

• Attention to detail and basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills to input and retrieve computerized information.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
