Planning and Distribution Manager

About the role

Agropur is hiring a Planning and Distribution Manager in Le Sueur, MN. The role plans, directs, coordinates and manages all distribution and logistics activities, including cheese and whey product shipping, finished goods inventory, purchasing of materials and packaging, and management of distribution and warehouse personnel and external warehousing.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the shipping of cheese and whey products to customers and coordinate sales orders with the sales department
• Manage the ERP system and train personnel in its use, and create standard operating procedures and training programs
• Ensure staffing is appropriate and trained for receipt, shipment, transfer and fulfillment
• Coordinate with the Plant Manager on shipping and inventory processes and with other departments on quality requirements
• Oversee inventory management, including receipts through purchase orders, physical inventories and packaging supplies
• Compile, analyze and report on inventory, and manage loads with shipping clerks (manifests, bills of lading, invoices)
• Follow GMPs, maintain warehouse cleanliness and ensure compliance with FDA/SQF/NSF regulations
• Manage customer service, onboarding of new customers and procurement operations, including P2P with the Plant Controller and vendor management with corporate procurement
• Drive continuous improvement on raw material costs and performance, and cooperate with auditors

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required; equivalent education and/or experience may be considered
• At least five years of supply chain management experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively at all levels
• Effective verbal and written communication with executives, managers and colleagues

• Salary range of $84,200 - $105,200, depending on skills, education, training and experience
