Physician – Internal Medicine (Recruitment/Relocation Incentive, EDRP)

About the role

This full‑time position is for a board‑eligible or board‑certified Internal Medicine physician within the Veterans Health Administration. The role is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) and includes a recruitment/relocation incentive.

Key responsibilities

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship (or non‑citizen appointment only when no qualified citizen is available).
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from a school approved by the VA for the year of graduation.
• Current, full and unrestricted medical license to practice in any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
• Completion of an ACGME‑ or AOA‑accredited residency in internal medicine (or equivalent pathway approved by the VA).
• Eligibility for board certification in internal medicine (board‑certified status may be required for faculty positions).
• Compliance with all VHA qualification standards and ability to submit the EDRP application within four months of appointment.
