About the role

Ochsner Health seeks a board‑certified or eligible Emergency Medicine physician to join its Butler, Alabama location. The role involves direct patient care, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and adherence to high professional standards.

Key responsibilities

Examine patients, diagnose clinical conditions, and prescribe appropriate treatments and medications.
Document patient encounters in the Electronic Health Record and ensure accurate coding of visits.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop treatment plans and make referrals as needed.
Comply with all policies, credentialing processes, and regulatory standards governing medical practice.

Required profile

Board certified or eligible in the primary specialty (MD/DO).
Licensed practicing provider willing to maintain clinical practice.
Commitment to professionalism, collaboration, and high‑quality patient care.

Required skills

Proficiency with Electronic Health Record systems.
Accurate medical coding and documentation.
Handling of hazardous drugs and related safety procedures.
