About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking an Inpatient Physical Therapist on a PRN basis to provide patient‑centered therapy services. The therapist will evaluate, treat and document care for a diverse inpatient population, ensuring high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform age‑ and diagnosis‑appropriate evaluations and develop treatment plans.
  • Deliver physical therapy interventions and adjust plans based on patient response.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with documentation standards.
  • Participate in departmental projects, committees and professional development activities.
  • Assist in the education and training of physical therapy students.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Current state physical therapy license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • No prior work experience required.

Required skills

  • Computer proficiency for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
  • Ability to use Windows‑style applications and keyboards.
  • Basic Life Support knowledge and skills.
